We understand that your data is very sensitive and confidential and we take extreme measures to protect and secure it.  In fact, your data is much more secure on our system than it is on yours!  Here is what we do to protect your data.

 

1. Your Data is Encrypted

 

Your data is encrypted on your computer before it ever leaves your hard drive.  You select the encryption key and can change it at any time.  We use 256-AES encryption, which was accepted by NIST in 2001 after a 5-year standardization process. It was approved by the National Security Agency for protection of US Government's TOP SECRET information.  This standard meets or exceeds the level of security used by major banks.

 

In addition, while in transit through the internet your data travels inside a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) tunnel providing an additional level of security during transfer.  SSL encryption is used by most online retailers and banks to secure your transactions in cyberspace.

 

When the data is at rest at our data center facilities it remains encrypted at all times.  Since you select the encryption key only you can unlock it during a restore. The end result is that your data is absolutely secure – not just hackers, even our data center operators or the Government can't decrypt your data, not even if they wanted to.

 

2. Redundant Data Storage and Facilities

 

Because we are an Amazon Web Services partner, all of our customers’ data is stored in Amazon’s own data centers.  We use the same highly scalable, reliable and fast data storage infrastructure that Amazon.com uses to run its own global network of web sites.

 

Amazon uses multiple data centers all over the world and your data is copied throughout this system.  This means that even if one of the data centers will be swept off the surface of the Earth by a tornado your data would still be intact in multiple other locations.

 

Remember, your data resides on the same infrastructure that Amazon, a Fortune 500 company, uses to run its own business-critical operations.  This guarantees the reliability of your data with a 99.9% up time.

 

Restore Pricing

 

Your are not required to purchase restore credits at the time you set up your account. However, until you have restore credit in your account you cannot restore files. Your data continues to backup safely and at any time you can choose to purchase your restore credit.

 

Restore credit allows you to instantly recover an accidental deletion or any other files you may need. You can also restore the files to any other computer! Restore credit never expires so it's like having insurance for immediate recovery...and the best part is that the more credits you buy in "packs", the cheaper they are.

 

In order to restore data your account needs to have Restore Credit.  Some restore credit is included with the Silver and Gold backup plans and/or can be purchased at the following rates:
